About THE SELECT LIST

Every life and health insurance company faces the problem of
having to hire a new law firm from time to time. It is
always preferable to find a firm that has provided excellent
representation for other insurance companies like yours.
It's isn't always easy to find a good referral, one that
will enable you to select a firm with confidence.
There is a new solution. A former General Counsel for
a major life and health insurance company has compiled
a SELECT LIST of law firms that have been recommended
and evaluated by other life and health insurance
companies.

Description
|
|
To qualify for THE SELECT LIST, a firm is evaluated
by at least 5 life and health insurance company clients
in 16 separate areas related to insurance defense work.
The evaluations must place the law firm among the top
one-third of all law firms.
All insurance companies, even those that retain exclusive
regional counsel, will benefit to the extent that better
case law for the industry is developed as other insurance
companies find it easier to select highly qualified
firms to represent them.

Each firm in THE SELECT LIST is evaluated by
at least 5 life and health insurance company clients
in each of the following areas:

THE SELECT LIST is published by
Res Loquitor Corporation, which was founded by Anne
V. Wardlow. For over twenty years prior to establishing
Res Loquitor, Ms. Wardlow served as in-house counsel
to insurance companies in Philadelphia and Miami. She
was Senior Vice-President, General Counsel and Secretary
of John Alden Life Insurance Company and approximately
twenty other subsidiaries from 1993 to 1998. She also
served on the Board of Directors of John Alden Life.
Ms. Wardlow has been a member of the Association of Life
Insurance Counsel since 1986 and represented the association
in the House of Delegates of the American Bar Association
from 1996 to 1998. She has served on the Litigation
and other committees of the American Council of Life
Insurance and the Health Insurance of Association of
America. She served as Chair of Life Insurance Committee
of the Tort and Insurance Practice Section of the American
Bar Association in 1997-1998. She was President of the
South Florida chapter of American Corporate Counsel
Association in 1992-1993.
Ms. Wardlow knows first-hand the difficulties encountered
by life and health insurance companies as they seek
to hire the best possible counsel to defend their companies,
and she has developed THE SELECT LIST as a new
tool that will enable inside counsel to quickly identify
and confidently select highly qualified law firms in
any part of the country.
